The
G-Star Arts and Education Foundation extends its
support by providing programs dedicated to
career-based arts’ education that further leads to
the building and sustaining of an entire industry in
film production for career employment. These
programs simultaneously spur giant economic benefits
to all of Florida.
An extensive variety of programs are provided at the
G-Star School of the Arts for Motion Pictures and
Broadcasting’s 10+ acre campus housing the largest
Film, TV Production and Acting School in the world.
The Foundation mirrors the G-Star School’s “raised
bar” practice by promoting top performance in all
its programs. The Foundation’s programs help sharpen
movie and theater production skills by incorporating
state of the art equipment, professional instruction
and top global talent. To maintain its high level of
success, the G-Star Arts and Education Foundation
remains determined to provide the right programs,
resources and equipment that best enhance and
prepare skilled participants to meet film
production’s growing demand.
Charitable goals support the statistically
significant success of these non-profit programs
dedicated to children and the arts within the
community to seed, stabilize, vitalize and ensure a
continuing wave in new industry. Our industry focus
is film production, in addition to theater
production, as these serve to promote the depth and
breadth of communication across all cultures.
Communication is our future as the world becomes
increasingly culturally diverse.
Additional community organizations and their
programs supported by the G-Star Arts and Education
Foundation include Palm Beach County’s Film and
Television Commission, Kiwanis International,
Kiwanis Club of Palm Beach and other local and
cultural organizations that further the Foundation’s
mission. Thanks to the combined efforts of
forward-thinking community members, the G-Star Arts
and Education Foundation has sparked to fruition a
promising future in a new, economically viable, film
industry here.
Sponsorship opportunities are eligible for
tax-exemption acknowledgement through such events as
the G-Star Arts and Education Foundation’s annual
X-Scream Halloween Haunt. The 2010 event hopes to
achieve status in the Guinness World Book of Records
as the largest such event. The 2009 X-Scream Haunt,
featured on the Travel Channel as one of the largest
and scariest Halloween events, came close to
breaking the record.
The X-Scream Haunt has now reached “destination”
status. Situated along Congress Avenue, and highly
visible to heavy drive-by traffic, thousands of
participants attend the family-friendly fun. An
early Haunt is enjoyed by the younger children who
afterward stay for the variety and magic shows,
dance performances, game booths, dunk tank and
specialty foods. The older children and kids at
heart enjoy the later show complete with actors and
staging created completely over the summertime by
incoming Freshman students. (Unbeknownst to the
students, their “summer camp” experience
incorporates valuable mathematic and other academic
skills while learning to build themed production
stages and develop their related characters. By the
time students arrive for their first day of school
at G-Star, they’re already acquainted with some 250
of their “new” classmates. The summertime program
learning eases the transition into the classroom.)
Sponsor’s Target Markets are well served, thanks to
the many film and theater productions in addition to
the consistent exciting events and activities on
campus. G-Star Foundation activities are designed to
raise the funds necessary for career scholarships,
new equipment, textbooks and resources for the
G-Star School of the Arts. The Foundation’s mission
includes capital building and facilities investments
that improve and expand G-Star programs. The
Foundation strives to expand the G-Star School and
Studios’ reach in the performing arts by arriving at
new ways to assist with current and future building
needs and programs designed to help students succeed
while continuing to flourish following both high
school and college graduation.
The G-Star Arts and Education Foundation is proud of
its collective and continued efforts in outreach and
service to the G-Star School of the Arts and the
local community. The impact upon the students and
participants served remains significantly positive.
The resounding impact on all of Palm Beach County
and the State of Florida continues to attract world
renown. |
