Founder,
CEO and CFO of the G-Star School of the Arts for Motion Pictures
and Broadcasting and Founder of G-Star Studios, Mr.
Hauptner directs an impressive team of managers, educators,
administrators, employees and film-related businesses and
analysts who are responsible for the prudent management of all
assets including debt, equity and funding support. Mr.
Hauptner’s son, Gregory Hauptner Jr., is the namesake for the
“G” in everything G-Star. Mr. Hauptner has grown the G-Star
School to become today’s largest Film, TV Production and Acting
high school in the nation and the only high school in the world
with a motion picture studio on campus.

Mr.
Ohrstrom stands as the key initial lead donor to the G-Star Arts
and Education Foundation. He is a prominent leader and
philanthropist within the Palm Beach Community and in the
Hamptons, as is his wife, Sally. Mr. Ohrstrom’s expertise and
experience includes his board president responsibilities here in
addition to having attracted the first major urgent medical care
facility to Palm Beach. Favoring activities that orient and
educate the larger area community, he plays an instrumental role
in operations and capital funding.

As
a Foundation Trustee and Executive Director/Secretary, Karen Poindexter brings with her the
expertise gleaned from her position as Charter Board Member of
the G-Star School of the Arts for Motion Pictures and
Broadcasting since its 2003 onset. She remains integral to the
field of “new business cultivation” for the Foundation. Ms.
Poindexter’s strategic planning and market-focused expertise is
reflected in her grand success as a theater producer throughout
the United States (Broadway, Burt Reynolds’ Theater in Jupiter,
Florida and several award-winning productions in Florida and
across the nation) and in London, England, as well a motion

Ms.
Stark-Thomas is responsible for the strategic development of
the G-Star Arts and Education Foundation’s assets, financial
consulting, portfolio and equity development, membership/data
information systems and relationship development. In addition,
she is responsible for Foundation funding oversight with funding
opportunities seeding interest from local to global reaches. Ms.
Stark Thomas assists Foundation officers in the development of
policies and procedures, recruits and develops the capabilities
of trustees, ambassadors and volunteers, and provides guidance.
After joining G-Star in early 2008, she initiated the
Foundation’s charitable IRS 501(c)(3) standing and garnered
important lead donors. Whether “for profit” or “for
philanthropy” she has over twenty-five years of successful
program consultation expertise with strategic planning and
management building from grass-roots to global recognition,
including federal government support and financing.
